THE GLADRAGS MRS.INDIA

Your cover for the Oct/Nov issue is fantastic – a positive bright red winner. Your Mrs.India looks very classy and beautiful. Your Mrs. India Contest now celebrating 10 years. What a tremendous successful achievement this is for you.

THE EDITOR’S PAGE

It is ever so interesting to read your Editor’s page – from issue to issue as you said women are always dissatisfied with life. But the Women of yesteryear were significantly satisfied with whatever they achieved; they were healthier and happier. Today, we women have unrealistic expectations and not achieving those extremly high expectations creates a turmoil within ourselves and therefore depression. In doing so we tend to move away from what we actually should be enjoying thus abandoning happiness.

AN ARDENT FAN

I have for been watching all your Gladrags Contests since you have began. Your terrific sense of humour and sharp intelligence & common sense touches us. It has been your passion to achieve perfect beauty for all your contestants. You have created great contest and great winners. It is really beautiful to watch a woman like you succeed in life, you don’t walk you run–and its always miles ahead of the competition. Thousands have become famous through your training, and by just watching your TV programs you teach us all & make us all into celebrity.

COOL STYLE

Your concept of style is certainly breathtaking and not for the fainthearted. Trendy clothes meant for trendy readers who really do not get the time to shop and lavish themselves with style can do so by looking at your fashion pages. Fashion in keeping with the times is very difficult to get these days.

THANKS FROM A CONTESTANT

Being one of the contestants of The Gladrags Mrs. India 2010 was very nice and one of the best things which could happen in my life. My journey from the selections at InterContinental Hotel, Delhi to Mumbai was a dream for me. Till now I sit back and think did it really happen to me? It was a learning experience for which I am grateful to Mrs. Wadia. Pardon me if I upset the routine and discipline but I would like to thank you for the experience I gained it is invaluable.

COMPLIMENTS FROM A MRS. INDIA

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me the opportunity to live my dream. I come from a small town in Bhopal with a political family background. No one was there to guide me in fashion and modelling. I missed Miss India and Mrs. India was the last opportunity for me to enter. I always thought that only professional models win this contest, until I heard you saying “We don’t need models, we make models.” Those words encouraged me and when I saw you I could actually feel what great women are all about… I could see Indira Gandhi in you in terms of your leadership skills. Hats off to you Ma’am for everything and best wishes in your future endeavours.
